The 2008 Secret Santa “Thank-You” Card

    By Buddah | January 2, 2009 |

Well it’s time to show what we received, and to thank our Secret Santa for making this holiday something special.

    ********************

    Buddah:

I will start this off by thanking Jodie of Three Hot Tamales who warmed my heart with a very special personal gift for me. It is a little flask with a pepper insigna and a “Buddah” engraving. Not only that she gave me a load of chili chocolates to sweeten the pot, and a homemade snowflake that I have hanging from my ceiling fan in my bedroom. Thank you so very much Jodie, you did well with me!!!

    ********************

    Turk:

Our Secret Santa was Tony Legner. Sorry about the bad pictures; we had to use the camera phone because our good phone is broke. I included a picture of how the wonderful USPS leaves their mark on every package they touch. The box was funny because Tony stuck one of his stickers on it and wrote: 3rd place label design winner behind some company named Bisummo. Its joke from a comment I made on a blog about our 2nd place win and Tony said something similar about his 3rd place win at the Fiery Food Challenge.

We received Tony’s complete product line which included:

Tony Legner’s Cat 5 Hot Sauce
Tony Legner’s Habanero Premium Steak Sauce
    Tony Legner’s Cat-5 Food Polish
Bloody Mary Jewelry – Hot Pickled Green Beans
Bloody Mary Jewelry – Hot Pickled Carrots

Now I just need to get Tony to divulge his secret Bloody Mary recipe that he gave me in Fort Worth . Thanks guys, we had fun being involved in Secret Santa this year. – Todd

    ********************

    Blane:

Sue Hard was my secret Santa. I recieved 2 salsa’s, a bag of Holiday chips, and the Royal Pimpin’ Stein as pictured.

Now I can bitch slap Buddah in Style.

    ********************

    Bret:

    S.S goodies from Buddah:

A gold platter that reads, “Bwana Bret’s Official Weekend Of Fire Dessert Tray”.
A package of green Curry Sauce.
    Archway Cashew Nougat Cookies
2 packs of Peppermint Pig Candy
2 Chocolate Bars 1 Applewood Smoked Bacon and 1 Chipotle Chili
    Christmas soda julmust from Sweden
Bag of Cajun creole Hot Nuts
    A Candy Shot Glass
And The super dooper reindeer pooper jelly bean dispenser

And Sorry Bill, one item did not make the pictures. One Cheesecake. I was going to take a picture of the cheesecake on the platter. Well, what happens when you stick a cake in front of Bret? DUH, it’s gone! Thanks Buddah.

    ********************

    Flaming Joe:

    From Zane & Zack’s
bottle of Three Brothers Hot Pepper Sauce
bottle of Four Brothers Hot Pepper Sauce
    jar of Honey Habanero Sauce
jar of Honey Chipotle Hot Sauce
package of Not n Spicy Truffles. – FJ

    ********************

    Bill & Sandi:

From Betty, I (Sandi) got a hand painted jalapeno 3 part condiment server, Chili pepper pasta, a variety of Ass Kickin’ nuts, Arizona gunslinger popcorn, a little rubber ducky wearing a sombrero and a pepper corer/de-seeder! She must have watched my struggle with a paring knife and peppers before! Very cool gifts!

There was also a wrapped pack in there for Drew with some Hot Wheels! But he’s now mixed them with his other cars and I don’t know which is which so I couldn’t get a pics of those. But he loved them! He was excited.

Bill got Lindt Chocolate bars…. chili dark chocolate and cherry chili chocolate from DK. Also a tray of baklava. Oh and a mystery bottle of sauce all wrapped in bubble wrap and covered in bows! It was funny once he got it unwrapped to see Ron Jeremy hot sauce! Needless to say all of the edibles are gone except the hot sauce!

    ********************

    DK:

My SS was JD of All Spice Cafe. JD sent me a VERY SWEET gift box containing his Cayenne Habanero Sauce, Chipotle Garlic Sauce, and Caribbean Spice. Did I mention it came in a VERY SWEET wooden gift box with the VERY COOL logo engraved on the front cover? I just have to decide whether to add this great looking set to the shelf or to open it and enjoy the sauces! Either way it’s a very cool gift! Thanks JD! And thanks TTF and Buddah for sponsoring the Secret Santa again this year. It was a hoot!

    - DK

    ********************

    Justin:

I got these bottles from Danny Cash. They are called the Mexican wrestler set. Very cool collectables. The inside of the box they were shipped in says el uno, so i take it they are the only ones he plans to make. That makes em my very first 1/1 bottles and i got 3 of em.

My secret Santa was some guy that cheers for the Crimson Tide! It was evidenced by the fact that he sent me a bottle of sauce that proudly proclaimed O-bama on the label  He also sent a really special purple and yellow shop rag that must have been sold to benefit some special ed place I think- I made the initials on it out to be “Local Stinkin’ Underachievers”

Odd kind of co-incidence thing with this also- I sponsored a gift prize for a random drawing for the Houston Hot Sauce Festival & he won that one :) What’re the odds!
