TTF Hot Sauce Photo Contest

OK folks, it’s time for another contest here on TTF. Let’s try something a little different from the norm. This was originally intended to be a “Caption This” contest, using a pic from this years FMK. I had it down to two pictures to use, but couldn’t decide which one, so the contest was put on the back burner.
But then it hit me. TTF is always receiving photo submissions to be used in caption contests, for reviews, or just for the sake of sharing. So why not turn that into a contest? And who knows, there could be a caption contest or two to come from this as well. LOL!!
The rules are gonna be fairly simple. All you gotta do is submit a picture, snapped by you, that includes a bottle of hot sauce. Any brand, any flavor, opened for use, or a sealed collectible. Doesn’t matter. It can be artsy fartsy, or just a picture of you standing beside your collection. Just follow the few guidelines listed below, and the rest is up to you.
1. - The picture has to include a bottle of hot sauce.
2. - Keep it decent. Nothing obscene. Keep it within the policies of TTF.
3. - Limit of two entries per person.
4. - Picture size should not exceed 600×600 pixels in width or height.
5. - Please submit original material. I’m not gonna make a up a bunch of requirements for you to prove the photo is yours. This is on the honor system, so please keep it honest and only submit your own work.
From the submitted pics, I will select a top five. The top five will then be posted and voted on by the readers here on TTF. The deadline for submissions is January 3rd, 10pm EST. The top five pics will be published for voting the during the following week. From the top five, there will be one winner selected by public vote.
So, I guess you all want to know what’s the prize gonna be? Well, a bottle of hot sauce of course! 
The Grand Prize for the winner of the TTF Photo Contest is the #2/24 CaJohns 2009 FMK Vesuvius, signed and numbered by CaJohn and all of the attendees of the 2009 Fire Mountain Krewe chilehead gathering in Gatlinburg, TN.
So get out those cameras and start clicking away and send your entry to ttfg8r “at” embarqmail.com with TTF PHOTO CONTEST in the subject line.

OH Man! Only 2 entries per person! I could dig back through my pics over the past few years! A question though..does the pic have to include me? Or can it just be taken be me? I’m always the picture taker..not the one being photographed..so I have lots of other people!
The pic doesn’t have to include you Sandi, but it does need to be taken by you. The only thing required to be included in the pic is a bottle of hot sauce.
And I’m sure you’ve got tons of pics that you could send in! That’s why I’m setting a limit for only two pics. I want this to be more about quality than quantity. This way you gotta really be sure that the photo is worthy of being submitted.
You can make this something simple, or really get carried away if you want. It can be serious, or funny, or artsy.
Whatever you do, have some fun with it. I hope that everyone that sends in a pic or two does so with a smile on their face.
What about a bottle of salsa?
Only if it’s Pace.
Just kidding Xero. Salsa can be included, as long as there is a bottle of Hot Sauce in the pic as well.
And remember, it just has to be prominent in the picture. It doesn’t have to be the subject and central focus, but it needs to be there, and easily seen.
As a newbie, this looks like fun.

I’ve received a few questions over the past few days about the contest, so I’ve decided to post a few examples to clarify, inspire, or help out those that have questions.
What I have done is to replace the “Random Pics” gallery in the top right corner of the site with a gallery of contest pics. For now, the pics are a mix of some of mine, and submitted entry pics. My pics are not counted among the entries, I’ve only posted them as examples for you guys. As the entries continue come in, I will update the gallery and remove my pics in the process.
Just remember, the pic can be anything. It just needs to clearly include a bottle of hot sauce. You can see that a few of the ones I’ve posted use the bottle as the subject, but there are others where the bottle or bottles just happen to be there.
Get creative with it. Be serious, be funny, accidental, on purpose, it doesn’t matter. The main thing is to just have fun.
So far the entries look awesome.

I forgot to mention, there are only 9 images displayed at once, but there’s more than 9 images in the gallery. the images will display randomly each time the page loads. So to view more pics, just hit the refresh button in your browser.
