Mullet Scott:
So, this is my first review on TTF. Actually its my first review ever so let the fun begin. I’m reviewing a bottle of “Caribbean Mango Pepper Sauce”. It is a sauce out of Canada made by Jung and Walker INC. As I look at the bottle and the ingredients I’m thinking its going to be a sweet fruity flavored sauce like any other Mango type sauce. I opened the bottle and took a big whiff of the sauce and the major aroma is garlic. I can smell all the other ingredients in there but garlic was the most prominent. Also thank you for NOT putting on one of those bottle stoppers. I always take em off because I want the sauce to come out of the bottle with no problems. The sauce is not to thin and not to thick with a nice light orange color. Its a nice smooth texture that will stick to the food and not run off.

Now onto the tasting!!! I put a nice spoonful in my mouth and was shocked that it was not another one of those really sweet fruity Mango sauces. It has mostly a garlic flavor with the habanero and mango in the background. Its not a really sweet sauce but more a garlic type sauce. It has some sweetness to it but not as much as I was expecting, which is actually a good thing. I like sweet sauces but they are limited to certain foods.
This sauce can be used on a large variety of things. It was OK by itself, not the best tasting by itself so its time to try it on what I was having for lunch when the bottle was delivered to my door. Good timing I must say. My Digiorno Pizza, its not delivery, was on the table and ready to scarf down. I put some of the sauce on a slice and this sauce is not overpowering like most. It has a flavor that enhances without killing the flavor of the pizza. Most sauces will just take over and you can only taste the sauce on whatever you put it on. This one actually enhances the flavor without taking over. Hey, I like that. This would be a killer sauce on chicken. Ill try that later.
It was mostly a garlic flavor with the habanero and mango in the background. On the heat scale I say it was a 3 out of 10. It had a little heat to it but not much. BUT, this is coming from a person that can drink an extract sauce with no problems.
It might be a 7 or 8 out of 10 if you think Tabasco is hot.
Overall I like this sauce. It is the best on foods and not by itself. It compliments the food and doesn’t overpower. I say on the 1-10 scale it is an 8 which is high for me, im picky about sauces. If you like a garlic flavored sauce than this is the one for you. It does have vinegar in it but doesn’t taste like much. Good job on this sauce!!!!

Great review guys, and thanks for pointing out the vinegar content Scott, that really helps me when I decide to order something new.
