    Blair’s PRE AM sell’s for $4,001 on EBAY!

    WOW! Another record sale for the PRE AM from Blair’s! It’s not the most that’s ever been paid for a hot sauce, that distinction goes to the #85 PRE AM which raked in a whopping ten grand, but four thousand dollars still isn’t anything to sneeze at for a little bottle of hot sauce! The bottle is what, 2 ozs. in size? Two bottles selling for a combined total of $14,000 makes it worth an average of about $3500 an ounce? Ouch! :)

    Back in May, the #58 was shown right here on TTF when it emerged as a long lost 4th brother in the small family of PRE AM bottles. Here’s a little history lesson on the PRE AM’s from the auction for the #58.

    OK, this is it, the holy grail of Blair’s collectibles. It is #58 of less than 100 made “Pre AM” Blair’s reserve. These were made WAYYY before the first 2am’s were ever made. Blair made these for a Hot sauce show long ago in 1993-1994. Only 3 were known to still exist but I found #4. So, this is one of only 4 known to exist. 2 do not have the skull but have a paper label attached and the other 2 have the skull dipped in the wax. So really there is only 2 of each Pre AM’s left. This is in perfect condition. One sold (#85) for 10,000 bucks a few years back. Yeah, I said 10K bucks!!!

    EDIT: I need to add in the auction that all 4 do have the skull but only 2 had them actually dipped in the wax. The other 2 had the paper label attached with the skull dangling with the paper label.

    So, are there more of them out there just waiting to be found? Only time will tell. One thing’s for sure, if any others do show up, it’ll be an exciting thing for whoever has their lucky hands on it!
