looks great, i was hopeing for a 5 oz though. i ate half the test bottle the day i opened it. its definitly hot for a non extract but i dont think it really compares to extract sauces. it is close enough that if i could get it in a 5oz bottle i would probably eat alot less extracts because i would replace them with this though. is the price the same?
Those are soo cool. I too wonder about price, anyone know?

CaJohn said that these bottles aren’t done right. He requested white shrink bands on them and the guy done black instead. He signed it as Run #1 so the next batch must be going to be done in white. Oh and it was 20 bucks if I remember right.
thats to bad, its great sauce but not worth 20. not for 2oz anyway, maybe for 5oz

It’s definately worth 20 bucks. There’s nothing elde on the market even close to matching this stuff in a non-extract sauce. And there’s no extract sauce that can match it for flavor, even at a lower heat level.
Heck, the Jalokia Puree sold for 40 I think in a 5 oz bottle. Just a bottled puree. So I would say the price for the LI is pretty much spot on.

Just like any product, the market makes the price. If it sells for $20, then maybe it goes for more. If it doesn’t sell, then perhaps the price goes down. This sauce unlike most of CaJohn’s 170 different products is made strictly for the Chilehead looking for the ultimate burn with flavor. No sauce on the market can deliver what it offers. $20 is what the price is now, but it could flunctuate with the sales.
Heck that means they will be 15.00 at JJ’s
The package is not complete yet, There is a paper that goes into the box to resemble the instructions/warnings that come with pharmaceuticals. The shrink bands are supposed to be clear so you can see the silver top. We had a special price on them this weekend at the festival and the normal retail price will be $30.00. Justin, I can sell you straight extract in a bottle and I think that is the only way I will ever make you happy, funny thing is you will call it a sauce. By the way, for those of you who don’t use injectable medicines, that’s what the bottle is meant to look like.
Hudd, thanks again for coming to the festival. You made some really good stuff, I was surprised that you didn’t win. I scored you well. There was some really stiff competition in the hot sauce contest. All the entrants did a great job! Geckofiend (Donavan) has got a site at CLICK HERE I don’t know if he has his info up yet, but he was the big sauce winner.
There are a few 5 oz. bottles of LI around, but they are costly. The “process” is expensive to do. The market won’t dictate the cost of this sauce, if it doesn’t sell, the price won’t go down, the sauce will just go away. Small business is a lot different than the corporate giants. Only JJ’s can get away with selling below cost, except fot the MacDaddyTPO and we all know he’s a lunatic!

john you make me happy just about everyday. i have so many wonderfull sauces and salsas that you have made and i usually eat at least one of them everyday . i really did love the LI though, i wouldnt even want it to be any hotter i just cant afford that much money for a 2oz bottle is all. your extract sauces arent even that much, black mamba is only $16.00 for a 2oz. i understand its an expensive prcesses and for everyone that hates the taste of extracts (wich is just about everybody) im shure this sauce will sell. i didnt mean for my opinion to be an insult of the sauce or anything though.

Justin, I wasn’t insulted. I hope you weren’t either. Facts are facts. You can handle the extract better than most all people. Check out the Sarge on Donavans site! That’s the way most people react. Off to the store now…
