Introducing Food Blog Monday on www.hotsaucedaily.com
By admin | December 15, 2008 |

Today is Monday. For those of you that aren’t familiar with this day of the week, it’s the day after Sunday, and the day before Tuesday. Mondays usually mark the first day of the dreaded work week for some. Other than that, Monday’s usually just drag by without much excitement. However, last Monday I read an article that made that particular Monday stand out from the others.
The time was approximately 6:30am on Monday December 8th. I had just poured my first cup of coffee and was checking my email, when one particular subject of an email caught my eye. It read, “food blog monday”. Hummm, interesting. It was from Brian, this is Brian…

…and he’s the owner/admin of www.hotsaucedaily.com. Within the email was a link to his site, and Brian’s message was just this simple note with a link… “I hope I did you proud”
.
WOW! I ’bout freaked when I clicked on the link to Brian’s site! Taste The Fear was the featured blog for last weeks Food Blog Monday feature!! Needless to say, yes it made me grin from ear to ear, and yes, the article made me proud.
So here it is TTF’erz, Hot Sauce Daily’s FOOD BLOG MONDAY!!!

A literary masterpiece of writing Brian. Thanks again for the very kind words. I look forward to meeting you again, maybe a trip out to Peppers in DE next Spring for a little hot sauce and crab legs. Or perhaps you can join us on the trip to Columbus, OH for the North Market Show with CaJohn in mid-February, right before the FFS.
Im in – only a 4 hour drive
you allowed to go during the Spring? :P
We should find out what day will be a Defcon Day and make it for that. Then ask Jodie to join in.
That is really cool. Looks like TTF is getting more and more exposure. Congratulations Capn!
Brian did a great job on his write up of TTF. He’s a good guy that, hopefully, we’ll see in the Blogger booth at the next Weekend of Fire. He’ll fit in perfectly with the rest of the gang.
Brian will need to learn the secret handshake first, then we can consider him for the booth.
Hey, no 1 ever taught me the secret handshake yet.
Because you will never be aloud to be a member
Great write up Brian even though I wasn’t mentioned
Just jokin, TC has a great site he should be proud of
Hey you were mentioned over on The Hot Zone Blane. Did you see that article?
It’s all about you ain’t it Blane?
Yep, J&L put HWL right smack in the middle of the mentions of the Hot Sauce blogs.
Brian, great site bro.
Jeeze, you guys are SO far ahead of me on this stuff. What a super nice surprise!
@Cap’n – didja have to put my mug pic in there? I guarantee I look better after a few shots (Of Mad Dog Inferno with Vodka)
@FatKid – 4 hours is nothin’! I’m contemplating the 11 hours to Jungle Jim’s next year. Yikes.
@:nerd: – You don’t have to wait for the spring. You’re welcome here anytime. I’m 40 min. from Peppers.com. And Chip would love it. Bring John the Creator. He’s been there.
@Blane – Sorry to leave you out. I get you confused with Blair. Haha.
@Turk – You’re awesome. Thanks.
You guys are my new chilehead amigos!
I am about 4 hours too.
Brian my trip to JJ’s took over 13hrs one way, but it was worth every minute of the ride. The ride home was a nightmare, but that is a whole nuther story.
Hey, Big Al, 4 hours is quite a drive from NoVa. Come to think of it, you’re better off waiting ’til the Spring. Warm, bikinis, beach… yea it’s better then.
We’ll be kicking up the Defcon Days in January. We usually take December off, but H*ll, we even set up last Sunday in the Jets stadium parking lot for a catering gig for the pre-game.
John, anything scheduled for Peppers?
Not as of yet. We can’t do a Defcon Day there, as I don’t think they would allow a multitude of turkey fryers to be bubbling away at their location.
you up for a chilehead getogether if no Defcon Day can be granted at Peppers? Crab legs and some beer, sound good? Maybe we can get TC to make an appearance since its just up the east coast. You in Peppers Cap’n?
maybe we can get Luther to host a little east coast show in the springtime since there aren’t any big shows that time of the year. Get a few manufacturers to come, set up a flea market style show, rake in a few bucks. Who wants in?
We could do that.
I like Brian even more now.
Maybe he banned you too.
again.
Come to think of it, I don’t remember Turk ever learning the TTF super secret hand shake and password. He just sort of slithered his way into the super elite TTF club. Guess we’ll have to make sure we take care of this at the next WoF. Don’t forget to bring yer goggles Turk.
Perhaps you’d like to bring him into the “Defcon Pain Center” which we will be putting up in addition to our UV booth.
Shhhhh…don’t tell no one. I’m incognito for the government spying on you derelicts.
Pain Center…sounds like fun.
I was actually toying with the idea of setting up a live feed through the laptop to our website for all the ZERO tasters. It would be a riot.
I loved the video of Blane and DK tasting Zero that we sent you. Too funny.
No doubt. But I still like the Deathmatch video with Balne wearing his helmet, and Michelle from Intensity Academy asks him if he’s nervous about the event, and he replies, “It’s just pain, only pain”.
A “live feed”?
I think it would be funny as Hell. And I think it would be the first time that people that weren’t able to make it to the show could actually get a feeling of what exactly is going on.
