Justin Takes the Heat Like a Man

A big THANKS to our friend Justin for sending in this video to share with the readers of Taste The Fear. Compared to some of us, Justin is fairly new to the chilehead community, however he seems to have jumped right into the thick of the haps without a hitch. He can definitely take the heat, and this video of him downing a full tablespoon of Uncle Big’s Serial Killer hot sauce is a testament to his iron tongue!!

The UBK block warmers are the best, you’re right there. It keeps my bald head warm 6 months out of the year.
Yeah, I hear Liquid Sin is all that and a bag of chips. 2nd place in the Porno (XXX) Hot no extract at Zest Fest this year.

The ChuckBox for the rest of you has been voted best burger year after year after year. Best thing is,it is on campus of ASU !!! While it’s hot, the scenery is amazing…college hotties wearing their AZ 110 heat ” best ” , which is not much.

hudd, the deyhdrated piece was made with serial killer. im guessing you got my email since your on this site, ill let you know when im coming to ohio next month and if you want ill bring my 5oz and bust it open. there is a set of the serial killer on ebay right now, i have bought a few sets from the guy and im willing to bet that the reserve is around $30.00.
I’d like to meet up with you like we talked about. The tour sounds fun and I’d love to give Serial Killer a try. I’ll check ebay later today.

Serial killer vs killer, what is the heat and taste difference?
i like the taste of serial killer better, they have a simaler flavor though.
heat, i think i heard someone say SK is around a mill shu and killer is just over 1/2 mill.
i cannot remember the killer to be honest. the serial was to be honest a little runny. i like mine a bit thicker. kinda inbetween serial and snake bite (if you have had the pleasure). other than that, taste great, heat great. it is everything everyone has told ya. it last for a bout 8 minutes then tapers off. it did not hurt my stomach later on down the road. it made my mouth water and voice crackle but the pain wasnt huge. all in all, taste great less filling.

Scoville on UBK original dependent on batch is around 555,000 Scoville. HPLC testing isn’t as perfect a science as everyone thinks. Cajohn can attest to that with Black Mamba.
The 550,000 SHU is based on the peppers involved and the addition of the a specific amount of extract. Unfortunately, it’s not as formulaic as we’d like. Peppers range in heat from season to season as you all know.
UBSK, again based on the same parameters “should be” over 1 million. We used Jolokia’s from Bangladesh and to be totally honest, I am not that happy with them looking back on it now. I expected more firepower.
Same as the Snake Bite from what I hear. Lots of people that I’ve spoken with were disappointed with the heat, tasted good, but the peppers weren’t a potent as people would have hoped.
New batch of Serial Killer will be consistently hotter as we have acquired peppers from another source, closer to home.
Ok, back to helping my Dad put in a laundry sink. Don’t you just love having your old man come visit? You can work ‘em like a dog and get all those little things on your to do list done.
