    Naga Morich ‘Snake bite’ Extreme Sauce

    Mark, aka Chileman.org, released this information over on The Hot Pepper on April 11th…The Taste The Fear readers will enjoy this!! Keep It Hot!!!

    Naga Snakebite

    The Naga Morich ‘snake or serpent chilli’ is one of the world’s most sought after and fearsome chilli peppers. A recent sample of this rare Bangladeshi chilli was tested* using High-performance liquid chromatography and registered a mind blowing 1,598,227 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), that’s 3 times hotter than the previous World Record Holder – the Red Savina Habanero or 300 times hotter than a Jalapeno pepper!

    In its native Bangladesh, it is used sparingly (and with great care) to add a searing level of heat to dishes by simply rubbing green unripe pods on ingredients. Even the fiery food loving Bangladeshi’s are not stupid enough to eat a whole Naga pod.

    In 2005/06 www.thechileman.org increased the availability of this pepper to the chilli community, using our Bangladeshi contacts to distribute authentic seeds to anyone brave enough to grow these firebombs.

    Over the last 12 months we have harvested our peppers, donned the chemical suits and completed extensive and near fatal trials to perfect our Naga Snake Bite sauce recipe, a recipe which we believe maximises the unique smell & fruity tones of these deadly but delicious peppers. If consuming even the smallest slither of a Naga Morich Pepper is likened to ‘drinking cobra venom’ you can only image what our recipe tastes like with each 150ml bottle containing a minimum of 4 whole pods. Unlike some other hot sauces, this sauce uses only FRESH Naga Pods and other ingredients. It certainly needs no artificial colourings, preservatives, powders or heat boosting chemical extracts to look good or guarantee a very hot and seriously intense longgggggggggggg burn! So if you fantasise about drinking molten lava, enjoy ramming red hot pokers up your nose or simply just want to sample the unique fruity undertones of these unique peppers, then this sauce is definitely for you.

      Yeah Mark has been posting about this on The Hot Pepper for atleast a week or so. He really knows his stuff about peppers, so I’m anxious to try the sauce.
