I had three bottles of hot sauce handed to me at Bret’s birthday party a while back. This thing happened, that thing happened and the bottles weren’t thought of until now. Sorry for the delay.
So I take a look at these three sauces, Singing Smoke Chipotle, Rockin’ Red, and Viva Verde, my first thought was, “too thin” Ingredients are pretty plain and simple on them. Water and vinegar in each of them, thus the too thin I observed. None of them seem to have any substance to them. Okay I figured I’d whip up a pan of mashed potatoes as the medium in which to sample these sauces.
First up is the Singing Smoke Chipotle sauce. It has a nice smokey aroma to it and the vinegar come through first as I tasted it. I poured a good amount on some mashed potatoes and gave that a try. This wasn’t bad but again the vinegar comes through first. It has a nice little burn to it also. I’d say this is an okay effort at a hot sauce. Maybe tweak it a little and cut back on the vinegar/water would be a plus.
Next up is the Rockin’ Red. Again, very thin and vinegary. Not sure what red chilies were used, but there’s a nice little burn comes through after eating my forkfull of potatoes. Again, I would suggest to ease up on the vinegar/water and make it a little thicker.
So now the Viva Verde. It’s green and I have a problem with green sauces. I’m sorry that’s just one of my things. So I pour on a nice amount and take a taste. This is quite different, must be the green tomato in it. seems to be a bit more heat in this one and not as much vinegar taste to it. Once again I would like to see this sauce a little thicker.
So in conclusion, I like the Rockin’ Red better of the three. I feel tweaking the recipes would be a benefit to these guys.

Hey ********s
Welcome to TTF Hippie Slaw!
Hey, if you check out the other reviews on these sauces, you’ll see that those labels are prototypes. The sauces are still in development at this point.
