The TTF Biggest Loser Contest
By admin | April 17, 2008 |
Hey there’s been quite a bit of discussion over in the April ’08 NFZ about having a contest on TTF. Not your typical sort of contest, but an actual chilehead weight loss contest. Please use this thread to toss around your ideas, and let’s see if we can get the ball rollin’ on this thing. There’s also the possibility that we may not be able to get this organized at all, but we’ll never know til we try. I’ll keep adding to this post when necessary in order to keep everyone updated on the rules, prizes, or whatever. My main request, is to keep this contest simple and fun!!
Thanks Cap’n

Congrats on the 150 UB!!
You better be in this contest too Mr. Diabetic. We all help each other around here. That is what a frozen winter does to you when you are inside all day eating your own products.
Cap’n you gots male.
150? Me? Well, I’m honored.
I can’t see me competing in this honestly. Right now, I’m on a strict diet, which is more condusive to sugar maintenance than weight loss.
I’m actually planning on bulking up muscle wise and thinking about competing in a provincial strong man tournament this fall.
Trying to get back into fighting shape. Anyone have an old tanker truck they could lend me?
I need one to practice pulling around the parking lot at the shop.
You think UPS would deliver that?
UPS? They are
material
The way I have lost so much weight is in little baby steps.
First, all my potions were cut in half.
Second, once I started to see the changes, I started replacing one meal with a protein bar a day (but read what is in them, some are all sugar or all fat, or way to much of both)
Third, when I saw more progress I started to exercise more. Some days are way harder then others! Trying to do at least 3 miles a day.
Oh, and Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday are my free days. I eat and drink what I want.
Good luck all!
Thats awesome Jodie , I just need to get back on track. About 2 years ago I was down to 235 pounds and felt great, I’m hoping this with the family will give me the motivation to do it again.
:sunshine:
How’s this for motivation. You don’t hit 235, you gotta room with Leroy at JJ’s!
I hope Leroy don’t have sleep apnea
Thanks Blane! I have worked very hard at it. You would be amazed at the difference. I am always amazed when I go shopping now. I always ask for sizes 3 sizes to big to try on!
I wish you all luck in getting healthier!!!!
Healthy?
I just thought we were getting skinnier.
I missed out on a lot here yesterday…looking at the roll call is this an all male contest?? Can the women compete too??
Women can certainly compete.
men have the advantage to losing weight though or so i here. good think we are all preaty lazy
I hear that men lose weight faster also…but hey this contest gives me a little motivation to try harder!!
